Project Details
I developed Alexa skills that were used during various new business pitches to Pharma companies including IPSEN Pharmaceuticals, Bayer and Novo Nordisk. The skill simulate how smart speaks and voice user interfaces could be used for training, as well as how they might used by Reps to assist them in managing customers. For example, the rep might leverage the Alexa skill to retrieve information regarding his or her call plan for a specific day of the week., or the skill could potentially retrieve information on when a customer had last been contacted.
Although these where more of a “proof of concept,” they do demonstrate some of the advanced functionality of a voice user interface, such as intent handling and were well received by the client. It also significantly elevated the “WOW” factor of the various client pitches.
I developed Alexa skills that were used during various presentations to Pharma companies and for internal company training. As an Agency of Record (AOR) for many leading Pharmaceutical companies, we are often asked to present "big ideas" during the annual brand planning meetings, and the use of voice assistants like Amazon Alexa certainly qualify. UK-based analysts at Juniper Research estimate that there will be 8 billion digital voice assistants in use by 2023, up from the 2.5 billion assistants in use at the end of 2018.
am also active in the education of my peers and direct reports. I developed and presented a training course on the applications for voice user interfaces in healthcare, and also demonstrated how the devices such as the Amazon Alexa are an integral part of the Internet of Things (IoT).
