Overview
While at D2 TEAM-Sim, I spearheaded the development of the Job Performance Aid (JPA), a strategic new training product designed to solve the challenge of high-speed, low-cost content production. By re-engineering the development lifecycle, I created a framework that allowed for the rapid deployment of technical training without the need for intensive senior software or instructional resources.
The Strategic Objective: Low-Friction, High-Velocity Production
The goal was to move away from over-engineered training models and toward an agile "JPA" format. I designed this product category to meet the following criteria:
- Resource Optimization: Reducing dependency on senior development resources through a modular, template-driven architecture.
- Rapid Turnaround: Shortening the production cycle from months to days, allowing for near-instant responses to market solicitations and urgent training needs.
Multilingual Logic and Modular Architecture
The flagship prototype for this initiative was developed in response to a high-priority solicitation requiring a dual-language (English and Arabic) deployment.
- Asset-Swapping Framework: I architected a "clonable" framework that allowed the development team to build a master English version and then seamlessly swap out localized assets.
- Bi-Directional Optimization: I ensured the framework could handle the specific formatting requirements of right-to-left (RTL) Arabic text and localized audio, ensuring 100% technical accuracy in both linguistic environments.
Project Management and Content Stewardship
As the lead strategist and project manager, I oversaw the entire lifecycle of the JPA effort, balancing technical execution with creative oversight.
- Instructional Design Mastery: I developed the overarching instructional strategy and authored the voice-over scripts to ensure the training remained concise and actionable.
- Talent Acquisition: I personally recruited and managed the voice-over talent for both languages, ensuring the tone and clarity met professional military and technical standards.
